The Simplot Games In Pocatello, Idaho
If you have not heard of the Simplot Games or participated in the festivities then this is the year, as this will be the 40th anniversary of the games. The event is sponsored by J.R. Simplot and has has become a major event attracting top High School athletes from 19 different states, Canada, and Australia. Here you can compete with other top-notch Track and Field athletes and participate in fun entertaining activities. Athletes do not have to meet a qualifying time to participate, making this a fun and unique experience for everyone. You will have a chance to meet well known Olympic Athletes, compete with peers, and be recognized for your talents during the parade of athletes.
The event is held at the Idaho State University’s Holt Arena located in Pocatello, Idaho. The weekend is filled with activities like Campus tours and the After Dark 2018 event with activities like, black light miniature golf, two story laser tag, arcade games and more. The Breakfast with Fosbury and friends is an exciting event where Dick Fosbury introduces 3-time Olympian, Harry “Butch” Reynolds. Hear him speak about his Olympic career as you enjoy breakfast with your fellow athletes. The Simplot Games is sponsored with the idea of enabling young athletes the ability to gather, while celebrating the spirit of competition.
